The Department invites applications for admission of the two-year Professional Master of Science Degree Programme on Disaster Management under University of Dhaka for the session of 2013 |

Program Features:
- A two years Professional MS Degree Programme on Disaster Management has
been started from July 2010 in the Department of Geography and Environment,
University of Dhaka in collaboration with & Swiss Agency for Development and
Cooperation -SDC. Dhaka. Applications are invited from interested graduates in
prescribed form for admission to the 5** batch of the above mentioned programme for
Monsoon Session 2013. Candidates wilt be selected on the basis of academic
records. written and oral tests and practical experience.
Eligibility:
- Admission is open to a wide range of graduates
from any branch of sciences. engineering. commerce and social sciences who fulfill
the following minimum requirements:
- (a) second class of GPA 2.5 out of 5 in SSC
and HSC examinations,
- (b] second class or GPA 2.3 out of 4 in 4 years Bachelor tin
honors] degree or equivalent,
- (c) second class in 3 years Bachelor degree with one
year Master degree or equivalent. and
- (d) second class in 2 years Bachelor (Pass)
degree with 2 years Master degree or equivalent from any recognized university.
- Persons currently work with government organizations, NGOs and other institutions
and have professional experience in the fields of disaster management,
environmental issues. development works etc. are encouraged to apply.
Application Procedure:
- Candidates shall apply in prescribed forms obtained
from the office of the Department of Geography and Environment on payment of Tk.
800 only and will sit for an admission test conducted by the Department.
- The tilted-in
application form along with all necessary documents (e.g. 2 attested copies of
passport size photographs, attested copies of certificates and mark sheets of all
examinations. and other documents like working experience etc.)
- Must be submitted
to the office of the Department by 07 march 2013
- The application should be
submitted between 9.00am to 4.00pm on working days.
- Admission test will be held
on 08 March (Friday) 2013 at 10.00am.
- The academic programme will start from 22 March 2013
- The details of the programme are available in the
Departments notice board.
- Incomplete applications will not be accepted and the
Department keeps all authority to accept or reject any application without showing
any reason.
